MOPX Series
Die MOPX-Serie ist das Clarifier-Pendant zur MAPX-Purifier-Serie von Alfa Laval. Sie arbeitet im Einphasen-Modus (kein Wasserinterface) und ist daher primär für Schmieröl-Reinigung konzipiert. Auf Schiffen mit 2-Takt-Hauptmaschinen oft als dedizierter LO-Separator eingesetzt, während der MAPX parallel als FO-Purifier läuft. Produktion eingestellt ca. 2005, Nachfolger ist die universelle ALCAP S-Serie, die beide Modi automatisch wechseln kann.

- ● Disc stack warping from thermal shock during cold start
- ● Bowl vibration from uneven sludge accumulation after 3,000-4,000 hrs
- ● Operating water supply pressure fluctuation causing premature discharge
🔍 Service & Wartung
Bowl overhaul every 4,000-6,000 hrs. Clarifier mode requires no gravity disc — water seal not needed. Back-pressure check monthly. Sludge tank level monitoring daily.

Same frame as MAPX — many parts interchangeable. Keep onboard: O-ring kit, friction pads, 1 spare discharge valve. Disc stacks: order 3 months ahead for obsolete models.
