Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System. SOLAS-mandatory for all vessels ≥150 GT. 3-stage alarm: visual → audible → backup officer alert.
Integrated Bridge System combining radar, ECDIS, conning, autopilot, and communication in unified workstations. IMO MSC.252(83).
Marine CCTV systems for security monitoring (ISPS), cargo operations, engine room monitoring, and navigation assistance.
Bridge conning display showing integrated navigation data: heading, speed, rudder angle, depth, wind, engine data.
Electronic Chart Display and Information System. SOLAS-mandatory for all ships ≥500 GT on international voyages (IMO). Dual ECDIS required = backup ECDIS or paper charts.
Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon. SOLAS-mandatory distress beacon transmitting on 406 MHz via Cospas-Sarsat satellite system.
SOLAS-mandatory echo sounder for depth measurement. Single beam for navigation, multibeam for survey.
SOLAS-mandatory for vessels in Sea Areas A3 and A4. MF/HF with DSC, NBDP (telex) for distress and routine communication.
SOLAS-mandatory VHF radio with DSC capability for distress alerting. Required in all GMDSS sea areas (A1-A4).
Satellite navigation receivers. SOLAS-required positioning system. GNSS includes GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou.

IMO-mandatory Long Range Identification and Tracking system. Transmits vessel identity, position, and time via satellite every 6 hours.
SOLAS-mandatory magnetic compass as independent heading reference. Required even with gyrocompass installed.
SOLAS-required radar systems for collision avoidance and navigation. IMO requires X-Band on all vessels ≥300 GT, S-Band additionally on ≥3000 GT.
Narrow Band Direct Printing terminal for GMDSS telex communication. Required with MF/HF radio for Sea Area A3/A4.
COLREG-required navigation lights. Masthead, stern, port, starboard, all-round, NUC, anchor, towing lights. LED and incandescent types.
SOLAS-mandatory navigational telex receiver for maritime safety information. 518 kHz (English) and 490 kHz (national language) reception.
Passive radar reflector or active radar target enhancer for improving radar visibility of small vessels and structures.
Radar Search and Rescue Transponder. Responds to X-Band radar interrogation with 12-blip pattern. SOLAS-required.
IMO-required rate of turn indicator for vessels in restricted waters. Mandatory for vessels ≥50000 GT or specific flag requirements.
Bridge indicator showing actual rudder position. Required on all vessels with powered steering gear.
SOLAS XI-2/6 mandatory Ship Security Alert System. Covert distress alert to flag state authorities.
Marine searchlights for navigation safety, search and rescue, and cargo operations. Xenon, halogen, and LED types.
Daylight signaling lamps (Aldis lamps) for visual Morse code communication. SOLAS-required on all vessels.
COLREG-required sound signaling equipment. Whistle (horn) and bell mandatory. Gong required for vessels ≥100 m.
SOLAS-mandatory speed and distance measuring equipment. Doppler log for through-water and over-ground speed. EM log for through-water only.
Voyage Data Recorder. SOLAS-mandatory for cargo ships ≥3000 GT and all passenger ships. S-VDR for existing cargo ships 3000-20000 GT.
Maritime VSAT systems providing broadband internet and voice via Ku-Band or Ka-Band geostationary satellites.
Bridge weather monitoring: anemometer, barometer, thermometer, hygrometer. IMO requires wind speed and direction indication.
